How to Root Galaxy S Advance on stock Jelly Bean 4.1.2 DXAMD1 Firmware
- You need to download the rooting package from here; save the file on your computer.
- Don’t extract the file.
- Use the USB cable and connect your handset with the computer.
- Select the downloaded root package and copy-paste it from the computer to your phone’s SD card.
- Unplug the USB cord.
- Turn off your phone.
- Reboot it into recovery mode.
- You can reach the recovery mode menu by holding the Power, Volume Up and Menu buttons at the same time.
- From the menu that will be displayed you need to select “install update from external SD card” followed by “choose zip from SD card”.
- Pick the rooting package and flash the same.
- In the end, return to the main menu and reboot your device.
